Time to train!

With just 11 weeks until my first solo trip, it's time to get training. I usually tend to mix things up a little so that I'm not only cycle-fit but generally a little physically stronger overall. To do this, I'll be walking, doing reformer pilates, riding the rail trail, commuting and road riding.

It's not only my physical fitness that needs training, but my mental fitness as well. Being my first solo trip, I need to prepare myself as best I can for those challenges. I need to allow people into my emotional space and share myself with others.

I will need to solve many challenges on my own. For instance, what happens when I get lost, which inevitably I will? What happens when there is no campground where I thought there was one? What happens when I have a mechanical issue?

All of these things are playing on my mind but I know I will find solutions to anything that comes my way. That's just what I do.
